We had our best Heads Up Northwest race to date this past weekend. AFP had 3 customers representing at the race. Ryan Hall brought out his supercharged 408 coupe but due to belt issues did not get to make a clean pass. The car does show promise though running a 10.80 at 112 on 235 radials with the belt coming off when they hit 3dr gear. With the belt problem fixed the car should be capable of low 10s to high 9's on the small radial. Randy Matson also brought out his Turbo charged coupe for his first time in competition and won the True Street class posting a new personal best of 9 teens at 164 on 275 radials. Rounding out the AFP team was Ray Stenerson coming back to the track after a year and a half break from racing. Just like he never left Ray ran a 8.46 right out of the trailer with the boost turned WAY down from our Vegas tune. Unfortunately the car showed it was not happy with sitting for so long and crapped out half way through the first round of eliminations. I am confident the next outing will go much better with some fresh plugs and clean fuel filters. This week is Bronco week at AFP! We have 2 old school broncos that we are working on as well as installing new heads, cam and exhaust on a very clean 1990 Saleen.
