This page is dedicated to the transformation of Ray Stenerson's 1989 Mustang Lx. The current combo is a Dart block 417ci with Yates heads and a custom solid roller turbo grind cam built by Sommers Automotive Machine in Vancouver Washington. The Turbo is a Precision 106mm. The water to air inter cooler is a one off prototype from Extreme Inter coolers in LaCenter Washington. The turbo headers, hot and cold side plumbing were all built by the Owner. The motor is backed by a stout power glide with jw case and tail shaft and a custom Neil Chance bolt together converter. The rear end is a Dana 60 with 3.70 gears. The cage was updated to 7.50 cert by Brian Sells at Redline Race cars in Long View Washington. The wiring, ignition and engine management were done by Jeff Malar at All Ford Performance. All paint and custom body work were done by the owner. The car is slated to run local Heads Up NW events as well as NPSA events and the Street Car Super Nationals in Las Vegas in the fall. We are looking for mid to high 7 second performance from this car once it is all sorted out. I am sure we will beat our previous best of 8.41 at 163 in the cars previous nitrous trim.
